How It Works

How Mycorrhizae Support Crop Success

Mycorrhizal fungi form symbiotic relationships with plant roots, extending their reach into the soil through microscopic filaments called hyphae. These networks dramatically improve nutrient uptake—especially phosphorus and micronutrients—and increase water absorption efficiency. When blended into growing media, mycorrhizae activate as soon as roots emerge, colonizing the rhizosphere and delivering long-term biological benefits.

Mycopro Ag products are formulated as fine, suspendable powders that blend easily into potting soils, compost mixes, and custom substrates. Once mixed, the fungi remain dormant until they encounter a living root, making them highly shelf-stable and effective in both bagged retail soils and large-scale bulk media.

Whether you’re producing propagation trays, tree mixes, greenhouse blends, or restoration media, adding mycorrhizae ensures your product delivers measurable biological performance—right out of the bag.

Key Manufacturer Benefits

Deliver measurable performance and market differentiation by incorporating Mycopro Ag into your blends.

Easy to Blend

Easy to Blend

Fine, homogeneous powder formulation disperses smoothly into compost, peat, coco, and bark-based substrates. No clumping, no clogging—just clean integration at any scale.

Shelf-Stable Biology

Shelf-Stable Biology

Mycopro Ag products remain dormant until they encounter a living root. This makes them ideal for bagged soil mixes, with excellent stability in inventory and storage.

High Spore Count, Diverse Species

High Spore Count, Diverse Species

Every product is ISO-certified and batch-tested for consistent, high spore counts. Choose from endo-only or dual-spectrum (endo + ecto) blends depending on your product needs.

When & How to Blend

To maximize performance and consistency, mycorrhizal inoculants should be blended into soil or media during the final mixing phase, just before packaging or bulk shipment. This ensures even distribution while minimizing handling damage or exposure to excessive heat or moisture.

Mycopro Ag products are designed for clean, easy incorporation into potting soils, custom blends, and bulk media. The dry, micronized powder disperses evenly through bark, peat, coco, and compost-based substrates without binding or clumping.

Batch Mixing

Batch Mixing

Add the product directly into your ribbon blender, paddle mixer, or vertical screw mixer. Blend for 3–6 minutes depending on batch size and mixer type to ensure even inoculant distribution.

Hand Top-Dressing (Small Batches)

Hand Top-Dressing (Small Batches)

For specialty or hand-mixed products, top-dress the inoculant during media layering and mix thoroughly with a shovel or rake before bagging.

Injection (for Liquid Carriers)

Mycopro Ag products can also be premixed into liquid suspensions for wetting media via spray bars, as long as proper agitation is maintained and filters finer than #50 mesh are removed.

Important Application Notes

Maintain adequate soil moisture after application to support mycorrhizal growth. Ensure spores comes in close contact with roots. For best results, allow 2-4 weeks for colonization before expecting visible benefits.
